Manifestation

Ever since my shift, I’ve been frustrated by the overuse and general misunderstanding of the word manifestation. It’s often spoken about as if we can simply think about what we want and it will magically appear.

So when I came across this beautiful video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP2bk5HWa8U , I felt compelled to share it with you.  From beginning to end, it offers clear insights filled with wisdom and truth. Here are a few of my favourite reflections:

  • There is a reason the ancients began every act of creation with silence, humility, and a willingness to see the truth - no matter how uncomfortable.  Because in that moment of clarity, manipulation ends and manifestation begins. Real transformation comes not by chasing light, but by turning toward the dark corners of our hearts, integrating what’s hidden, and transmuting the pain we’d rather avoid.

  • Manifestation is not about getting what you want, but about turning darkness into light and becoming who you truly are.

  • Desires are invitations to discover the real longing beneath them. When you want wealth, what is your soul actually seeking?  Security? Freedom? To be seen? Validation? And when you want love, what is the shape of the emptiness you long to fill?

(Paradox: there is no “emptiness.” The love you seek is already within your heart - you have simply forgotten that it is there. And when you remember, all your other “desires” fall away.)

  • True creation begins with radical honesty.  Your outer world changes only when your inner world is revealed and integrated. What happens when you stop asking, “How can I get what I want?” and start asking “Who am I truly when all wanting falls away?”

  • This is why, for many, it takes hitting rock bottom - the moment when the ego is finally humbled and the soul is given space to take the reins - when they finally find their purpose and rise from the ashes.

  • The lost art of manifestation is not about bending reality to your will, but about opening up to a higher will - a current of wisdom, love, and truth that wants to move through you.

  • When you align with that current, the things you attract are not merely what you want but what you most dearly need.

And now for the big question…how?

For me, manifesting change happened fairly quickly, but only after a long period of honest introspection. Through journaling, I was able to see that I had been living in a state of judgment, resentment, and blame. I viewed myself as the “victim” of many betrayals.

Was this working for me?

Clearly not. I was desperately unhappy, so something had to change.

Step 1 - Surrender

I dropped the habit of blame and took responsibility for my own thoughts and feelings. I recognized my inner critic as a monstrous ego that was threatening my life, so I was more than willing not only to humble that bully but to bash it into the ground. I began shedding beliefs about who I thought “I” was—perspectives, personal history, feelings, and material wants and needs - almost as naturally as a snake sheds its skin.

Step 2 - Acceptance

As the old identity loosened its grip, something new began to emerge. I found myself embracing what initially seemed like a new belief: that I am an embodiment of Divine Love. But in truth, this idea is ancient. Gnostic teachings dating back to the time of Jesus and Mary Magdalene speak of the divine essence that lives within every human being. For many of us, however, that awareness has been buried beneath layers of trauma and the weight of human suffering.

It may be an oversimplification to describe the manifestation process as “out with the old and in with the new,” but hindsight supports a radical shift in perspective. What may have actually occurred was a transmutation of energy - from negative to positive. As Einstein famously said, “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed.”

Step 3 - Forgiveness

The final step was forgiveness.

I forgave myself for believing that I was my ego, and forgetting that I am an embodiment of Divine Love. At some point, we all forget who we truly are at the soul level. It is part of the human experience. It happens to everyone.

Manifestation, then, becomes a conscious choice to change.

Instead of seeing life as a long and exhausting cycle of ups and downs, I began to view daily challenges - and even past betrayals - as opportunities for learning. Not comfortable lessons, perhaps, but meaningful ones.

Why not learn what we can while we are here?
Why not look at things from a different perspective?
Can we find gratitude, even for relationships that trigger our inner wounds and challenge us grow?
What could possibly be the downside of believing that we are an embodiment of unconditional Love?

When I chose to turn away from the voice of my ego, a door quietly opened - to my higher Self, my inner child, and my soul.

And through that shift, I manifested an entirely new life.

Easy peasy.

And you can do it too.
