Denise Le Gallais

Hi. Thanks for stopping by my website!

This photo was taken in 2018, a few months after my shift out of 3D consciousness. Not having known me ‘before’, you probably won’t notice anything out of the ordinary, but I can see it clearly. This is me…the real me…alight with joy, wellness, and peace, fully aligned with my highest Self, at one with the Universe…and still enjoying a chilled glass of wine.

When I’m not out and about, you can find me at the Vancouver Racquets Club taking part in the Badminton BC Masters Tournament Circuit and competing at local, provincial and national levels.

The love for badminton began at 5 years old, barefoot in the backyard, but serious coaching took me through junior club tournaments and high school team competitions. Upon graduation, a 30-year hiatus allowed time for career and family until a yearning for my sport led me to Anna Rice, a two-time Olympian and internationally-respected badminton ambassador. Anna became my coach and mentor, transforming me physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. If it hadn’t been for Anna, I wouldn’t be here today.

It has been 7 years since the death of my ego, and I still find myself waking up every morning with a smile on my face and love in my heart…absolutely overflowing with gratitude.

My only wish is to share this gift of inner peace with everyone.

With coach, Anna Rice

For family, friends, co-workers, and teammates who recognize me as Denise Jefferys…

…you may be wondering why I published Lightworker under my maiden name, Le Gallais.  Trust me, I gave it a great deal of thought and went back and forth several times - right up until the deadline. If I went with Jefferys, the book might appeal to those who already know me, generating sales organically through word of mouth. But very few people are familiar with the name Le Gallais.  Who would buy a book written by an unknown author with no online presence?  How would this message of peace get “out there”?

Publishing under a pen name is a common choice, often intended to protect the privacy of everyone involved. Since I was legally separated at the time, it seemed logical to use my maiden name. Most of the life events that drove the story occurred before I was married, so it made sense to use the name I was born with.  Additionally, I wanted to honour the memory of my grandfather, Ed Le Gallais (aka “Pop”), whose youthful energy and words of wisdom illustrated several important points in the book.

As I was pondering my decision, a significant line from Romeo and Juliet kept surfacing. Shakespeare’s “What’s in a name?” points to a deep inner truth - that a name is simply a label.  I knew, from the beginning that Lightworker wasn’t about me at all. The book was meant to employ a common victim story as a vessel through which a message from Spirit could be delivered.  My name didn’t matter.

This realization was steeped in irony, as the belief that I didn’t matter had been the crux of my suffering for more than 50 years. Clearly, my Spirit Guides have a complex sense of humour.  The purpose of my awakening was to accept that my soul matters - but that “I” (my ego and/or identity) do not matter in any material sense. I am not a famous historical figure, respected healer, teacher, scientist, or physician.  I was, and still am, a regular person. Ordinary?  Maybe.  But, I’m an ordinary person who found inner peace through practical, actionable steps that anyone can follow.

So…Jefferys or Le Gallais?  Known or unknown? What would be the best way to share this story with the world?

In the end, it was my inner child who stepped forward with unbridled enthusiasm and said, “Let’s use my name!”  Since my inner child is clearly in cahoots with my exuberant Spirit Guides, I trusted they knew what they were doing and published under Le Gallais.

About a year later, I created an Instagram account (see link above) and built this website to establish an online presence. Every day since then, I’ve hoped and prayed that I’ve done enough to fulfill my life’s purpose.
