About
Denise Le Gallais
Hi. Thanks for being here. 🩵
This photo was taken in 2018, a few months after a radical shift in consciousness. You might not notice anything unusual, but I can see the difference clearly. I am fully present, alight with inner peace…calm, grounded… and still able to enjoy a glass of white wine. I am the same person I’ve always been, but without the shadows of the past.
When I’m not writing, you’ll often find me at the Vancouver Racquets Club, competing in the Badminton BC Masters Tournament Circuit at local, provincial, and national levels.
My love of badminton began at five years old, playing barefoot in the backyard. After years of junior competition, I stepped away from the sport for three decades to focus on career and family. Eventually, something in me felt called back.
That path led me to Anna Rice - a two-time Olympian and respected coach - who became both a mentor and a catalyst for deep personal change. The work we did together challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways that ultimately contributed to a much larger transformation in my life.
It has been 8 years since this unexpected shift, and I still find myself waking up every morning with a smile on my face and love in my heart…absolutely overflowing with gratitude.
I don’t share my story because I have all the answers. I share it because I know what it feels like to struggle silently - and I also know that change is possible.
My hope is simply to shine a light on this path to inner peace.
