The Awakening

I fell over this video about a year after my shift, and was so moved by the interview that I included the link in Lightworker (p 312) under Resources and References.  Encouraging, enlightening, and at times chilling, Rahelio doesn’t pull any punches when addressing the potential fate of our existence and the importance of awakening.

Self-described as a modern day Toltec (wisdom keepers of Mexico), Rahelio delivers a gentle blend of Native American perspective (being a voice for the natural world), the yoga philosophy, and 30-years-experience as a professional astrologer. He has studied western metaphysics, and considers himself to be a Christian mystic, initiated in Tibetan Buddhism, who resonates with the teachings of Depth Psychology (Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung) and Quantum Physics - a subtle fusion of science and Shamanism.  Mystical experiences opened his mind to see the bigger picture, which led to a desire for simplicity - to speak of love and inspiration.

There were multiple points in the interview when I stopped to take notes, but the following statement resonated more than most. “No matter what you know, if it doesn’t come down to love - if it doesn’t come down to a spiritual understanding of what love means - you miss the boat.”

I remember stopping the video at this point, and just sitting at my desk in wonder, gratitude, and relief. Finally, I had found someone who was living my truth. At the time of my shift, I tingled with a cell-deep ‘knowing’ that Love is the key to peace, but then struggled for over a year to find anyone else who embodied this belief. Finding Rahelio’s video was like a much-needed embrace, long overdue support, and kinship, which gave me the strength to continue writing Lightworker. Because my perspective had also been shifted by a mystical experience, I resonated strongly with Rahelio’s description of having one’s mind blown open to the bigger picture. His vast range of experience and study, combined with an openness to learning (all of which is delivered without judgment), helped validate my inner knowing and encouraged me to press forward on a path of peace.

I hope that this video inspires you to explore the practical path to personal freedom* and awaken to a more authentic and fulfilling life.
