Manifestation

Ever since my shift, I’ve been frustrated by the overuse and general misunderstanding of the word ‘manifestation’ - as if we could just think about what we ‘want’ and suddenly it appears. So, when I found this beautiful video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP2bk5HWa8U I had to share it with you.  From start to finish, it provides succinct information filled with wisdom and truth.  Here are some of my favourite sound bites:

There is a reason the ancients began every act of creation with silence, humility and a willingness to see the truth no matter how uncomfortable.  Because in that moment of clarity, manipulation ends and manifestation begins. Real transformation comes not by chasing light, but by turning toward the dark corners of our hearts, integrating what’s hidden, and transmuting the pain we’d rather avoid.

Manifestation is not about getting what you want, but about turning darkness into light, and becoming who you truly are.

Desires are invitations to discover the real longing beneath them. When you want wealth, what is your soul actually seeking?  Security, freedom, to be seen, validation? And when you want love, what is the shape of the emptiness you long to fill?

(Paradox: there is no ‘emptiness’; the Love you seek is already within your heart - you have just forgotten that it is there. And when you remember, all your other ‘desires’ fall away.)

True creation begins with radical honesty.  Your outer world changes only when your inner world is revealed and integrated. What happens when you stop asking “How can I get what I want, and start asking “Who am I truly when all wanting falls away?”

This is why, for many, it takes hitting rock bottom…the moment when the ego is finally humbled and the soul is given space to take the reins…when they finally find their purpose and rise from the ashes.

The lost art of manifestation is not about bending reality to your will, but about opening up to a higher will, a current of wisdom, love, and truth that wants to move through you.

When you align with that, the things you attract are not merely what you want but what you most dearly need.

And now for the big question…HOW?

For me, manifesting change was a fairly quick process following a long period of honest introspection.  Through journaling, I was able to see that I had been living my life in a state of judgement, resentment, and blame. I was the ‘victim’ of so many betrayals. Was this working for me?  Clearly not.  I was desperately unhappy, so something had to change.

Step 1 - Surrender - I dropped the habit of blame and took responsibility for my own thoughts and feelings. I recognized my inner critic as a monstrous ego that was threatening my life, so I was more than willing to not only humble that bully, but bash it into the ground. I shed beliefs about who I thought “I” was…perspectives, personal history, feelings, and material wants and needs…as naturally as a snake sheds its skin.

Step 2 - Acceptance - In surrendering my old identity, I had to ‘replace’ it with something new, so I accepted what I thought was a new belief - that I am an embodiment of Divine Love - which is not actually new at all. The ancient gnostic belief that humans embody the energy of Divine Love dates back to the time of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.  For most of us, however, this powerful energy has been lost or forgotten beneath layers of trauma and ongoing human suffering. And, just to be clear, I didn’t actually ‘replace’ anything. But it seems easier to understand than what actually happened - a transmutation of energy from negative to positive. As Einstein said, “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed.”

Step 3 - Forgiveness - I forgave myself for believing that I was my ego. We all forget who we are at a soul level. It’s not our fault.  It happens to everyone.

Manifestation means deliberately making the choice to change.  Instead of seeing life as a long arduous process of ups and downs, I chose to accept daily challenges and past betrayals as life lessons (no matter how uncomfortable). Why not learn what we can while we are here? Why not see things from a different perspective? What could possibly be the downside of believing that we are an embodiment of unconditional Love?

When I chose to turn my back on my ego, a door opened…to my higher Self, my inner child and my soul…and I manifested a whole new life.  Easy peasy.  And you can do it too.
