Hindsight and Gnosis

Gnosis:  Experiential Mystical Knowing (knowing based on lived experience)

Hindsight is a beautiful thing…and lived experience creates a kind of wisdom no library can offer.

Sadly, my experience of enlightenment has been discounted - even dismissed - which is like being handed a pot of gold that no one wants, no matter how earnestly I’d like to share. Perhaps this refusal stems from doubt cast upon on my mental stability in the wake of an unusually abrupt shift in consciousness, or because I lack the academic credentials to back it up. A university degree (or two) is often required to be taken seriously.

Yet some of the most essential truths in life cannot be taught; they must be lived.

Being dropped into a vortex of darkness and fighting my way back out was the only way I could have learned life’s most important lesson and realigned with my soul. Whether this spiritual emergency was accidental, destined, or a soul choice no longer matters. What matters is this: through a profound midlife upheaval, I came to see very clearly the truth of who we are.

There is nothing wrong with any of us. We are all whole and connected at a soul level of consciousness. That feeling of being separate and/or not enough comes from an egoic state of consciousness in which we strive to escape human suffering through the pursuit of happiness.

Therein lies the paradox: the more we search for happiness, the less likely we are to find it.

The path to inner peace is not really a path at all, but a choice to turn our backs on the darkness. When layers of loss and betrayal finally become intolerable and we are pushed beyond our breaking points, something within cracks open and cries out, “Why is everyone hurting me? What is the point of living? Is this really all there is to life?  Does anyone care? Why is there so much pain? Can anything ever change?” (Yes, it can🙂)

The moment you declare, “I’m not living like this anymore - there must be a better way…”, that’s when things start to change.

Inner peace grows from the choice to shift perspective. Stop the habit of blame, break free from a victim mindset, and go within. Say “No!” to your inner critic and choose love over fear, truth over popularity, authenticity over validation, kindness over revenge, integrity over shortcuts, and peace over victory.

When you can no longer tolerate the superficial - when integrity matters more than  pleasure, distraction, or even the pursuit of joy - soul alignment is possible.

As egoic labels and identities begin to collapse and fear of losing your former life dissolves, something within you unlocks, and you move beyond a 3D mindset. The shift from ego identity to soul alignment is permanent, gnosis is real, and you experience hindsight - not merely reflection, but remembrance of who you have always been.

Self-actualization can be taught and understood, but enlightenment is a choice that must be lived.
